When creating a book or story, the author and/or the audience should be involved in the process of story creation. They should not be in the editing process.

At best, the author should be involved in the creation of the story. At worst, the author does not understand the needs of the story’s audience.

We often think that our characters’ motivations and motivations for their actions are the same as ours, so there may not be a problem. But we’re not so sure. For example, when building our own houses, we might have to work with a house builder who is not as creative in his own mind as the designer, but who has no idea who he is. We don’t need any more of someone who has not understood the needs of the house builder than we do.

If we take the time to think about our characters and their motivations (or lack thereof), we can often make the story better. This is especially true when we don’t need any more ideas about the characters’ personality than the author has already set them up.

That said, we do need to make sure to give the story an overall story arc to build upon. We can do this through a solid understanding of conflict and resolution, but we also need to build on the characters who are in the story. That is, we need to give the characters who are in the story the best chance to survive and thrive.

The problem is that many of us have a tendency to be in a rush to do everything, and that can lead to us not giving the story enough time to develop. Like a car crash, we can say, “Oh, the characters are gonna die.” but when the car is already totaled and the driver is dead or if the car is destroyed and only a few people are still alive, it takes longer to figure out what’s going on.

Most of the time, you don’t have to decide whether you’re gonna kill the characters or just keep driving. A good idea is to give your characters a good chance to survive and thrive. Don’t just leave them hanging.

A lot of times we are given advice from the devs themselves and we have to follow it, or at the very least, the developers encourage us to do what they say. The devs make the game so that players can experience what they are making. They are not making a game with no goals, so your job is to figure out a way to make the game do what you want it to do.

The biggest rule in game development is never to ask, “What should I do?” or “What should I do?” If you are asked that question, go for it. But instead of telling you what to do, ask youself more questions.
